Dr. Mikel Anderson, DC graduated from Parker College of Chiropractic after being taught the virtues, skills and techniques of the chiropractic field.  Having passed the necessary examinations and licensing criteria started practicing chiropractic.  Working in many different clinics and for other chiropractors, Dr Anderson gained much real world experience and was able to perfect his techniques.

There were however certain practices which he saw which concerned him with chiropractors.  His number one concern was patient care.  Most chiropractors tend to be high volume which in turn leaves little time for actual patient care.  Instead a general adjustment and heat/cold packs and a brief massage is then conducted and the patient is sent on their way with little regard to the actual pain complaint or injury. Dr. Andersons second area of concern was with patient education.  Dr Anderson believes that patient education is the key to making chiropractic work in a patients life to treat pain and spinal problems.  Without proper education a patient does not understand the environmental factors, habits, nutritional influences and or stresses which are causing the pain. This can cause unnecessary treatment, frustration, and ill advised surgeries that may not actually resolve the actual problem.

At a point in his career, Dr Anderson decided it was time to open his own practice to address these issues and increase the general public’s expectation of chiropractic care. Since founding Del Norte Chiropractic in El Paso, TX, Dr. Anderson has focused on creating an environment which is conducive to healing as well as educating every patient that enters his clinic.  Dr Anderson has setup his clinic to use private treatment rooms which means more privacy and patient comfort.  In addition, Dr Anderson understands the busy schedules of working individuals and has made it a point to offer early and extended office hours and does not overbook.  This allows Dr Anderson to spend the necessary amount of time with each patient to ensure proper patient care and satisfaction.
